1. Mystery (Secret) in Bible I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters………until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved. (Romans 11:25-26) Oh, how I wish that God would speak, that he would open his lips against you and disclose to you the secrets of wisdom, (Job 11:5-6) The king said to Daniel, “Surely your God is the God of gods and the Lord of kings and a revealer of mysteries, for you were able to reveal this mystery.”(Daniel 2:47)

2. Survey of Mystery (Secret) Something that is difficult or impossible to understand or explain. The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. (Deut. 29:29) During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven. (Daniel 2:19)

Jesus replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. (Matthew 13:11) But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets. (Revelation 10:7)

3. Paul’s view of Mystery To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. (Colossians 1:27) which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 3:5-6)

Romans 11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.
