2 You have been issued with lovely, new diary/planner and you must treat them with respect. Any graffiti on front or back cover will be met with a zero-tolerance attitude and a new diary bought by the students (£1:50 from the finance office). During their tutor time together at the start of term, all students must complete the following pages: Cover – Name and tutor group (adding in details of your timetable only after you have completed page 20. Page 1 - ‘School and Personal Details’ – complete so that you never lose your diary! Page 17 – ‘Student Learning Contract’ – read and sign Page 18 – ‘Home School Agreement’ – read and sign the middle section and then get the third section signed by your parent/care. Page 19 - ‘Assessment Tracker’ – write in the list of subjects you will study (English first, then Maths, then Science, then the others alphabetically if possible, as this is how the printouts will be distributed later in the year). If you know last year’s end of year grade, that can be completed too. You may also want to fill in the first ‘Effort Score’ column in pencil as a sign of some kind of short-term target for which to aim. Page 20 – ‘Timetable’ – transfer across your lessons and homework diary onto this page (and then onto the front cover in the space provided). Make sure you note the new timings for afternoon lessons! You should also read through aware of the information contained on pages 9 (On-line learning information), 16 (Rewards Points) and 21 (Exam timetable), which will be completed as the year goes on. You also need to read through pages 2-8 and pages 10-15, as well as the coloured pages at the back of the diary.
