Library of Congress Call Numbers Call numbers will be organized one section at a time. Start at the beginning and work your way through the entire call number, part by part.

Library of Congress Call Numbers LC Call Numbers will always begin with letters ▫Can be a single letter or a string of up to three letters Example: H or QA or KFN ▫Arrange these alphabetically

Library of Congress Call Numbers The second part of the call number will be numeric. ▫Some will be whole numbers, others will contain decimals Example: H 432 or QA 76.9 Remember to organize first by letter then by number.
