14 14 Our Mandate To enhance the quality of life for residents of Halton Hills Assist and support community groups in providing recreation and cultural opportunities Provide facilities, services and programs directly that help to fulfill the leisure needs of the community.

15 15 The Department achieves this Mandate through: proactive planning providing wide range of choices ensuring the availability and accessibility of facilities encouraging opportunities in programs creating public awareness coordinating with community groups and agencies building leadership capacity recognizing valuable contributions by individuals and groups as outlined in the 2007 Recreation and Parks Strategic Action Plan
