On Christmas Eve children hang their stockings on the fireplace and leave a glass of sherry for Father Christmas and a carrot for Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer. Christmas time

The whole family has a large lunch. People usually have roast turkey with potatoes and for dessert a Christmas Pudding and mince pies. Christmas time

The 26th December is called BOXING DAY, because it is the day when the church gives the money collected in wooden boxes, to the poor. Christmas time
