2.  Jesus fulfilled the holy requirements of the LAW – He never sinned.  Jesus fulfilled the sacrificial pictures of salvation seen in the LAW – LAMB etc.  Jesus fulfilled the Messianic promises in the PROPHETS. He will be their Prophet, King and Savior.  Jesus taught the heart of holiness found in the LAW and the teaching of the PROPHETS.

4.  Matthew 24:35 – Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.  John 17:17 – Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.  John 10:35 – …Scripture cannot be broken…  Matthew 4:4 – Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.  Jesus quoted scripture as true. Quoted stories as true. Said scripture was fulfilled. Called scripture “God’s word.” “It is written…” “Have you not read?..”

6. Honor in heaven based on faithfulness to God’s word ◦ Undermining scripture ◦ Pointing to scripture Disobedience + Deceiving others = Least (dishonor) Obedience + Instructing others = Great Honor

8.  Do I accept God’s word as true – even the parts I don’t understand, or parts that trouble me?  Do I seriously invest in reading and knowing God’s word?  Do I point others to God’s word?

10.  Acts 13:38-39 - …through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification [righteousness] you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.  Romans 3:20-23a – Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin. 21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus;
