Facilitation Skills (continued) Evidence: “Relational Coordination” Studies: Southwest Airlines, health care systems Coordination is both a technical process and a relational process “Relational coordination” leads to improved quality and efficiency Three elements of relational coordination: Team/clinic members have: –Shared goals –Shared knowledge –Mutual respect
