3 BASIC COMPUTER COMPONENTS CPU – Central Processing Unit (tower) The CPU is the brains of the computer MONITOR/display The monitor is an electronic visual display for computers STORAGE Computer components and recording media that retain digital data

4 ADDITIONAL STORAGE CD/DVD Drive: To store information/files/movies/photos typically to transport information between computers. USB Stick/Flash Drive: Portable memory card to store information on. Normally used to transport information between computers.
