Introduction Martin Luther King’s speech was one of the most memorable speeches in history. The key message in the speech is that all people are created equal. He argued passionately and powerfully.

Factors that impacted the speech The remarkable emotion of King’s delivery in terms of both voice and body The site at which it was delivered – on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The mood of the day, a sense of perpetuated slavery among black people.

I have a dream He spoke as a preacher and a prophet. His voice was full of urgency for the need of equality. The speech references various speeches in history such as the Gettysburg Address, Declaration of Independence, and the United States Constitution to name a few. He spoke of peace throughout the nation for all God’s children to be equal.

Conclusion “ I Have a Dream” speech written by Martin Luther King, Jr. will forever be a part of history. This speech was so powerful that the words he spoke will be remembered and taught forever. It was the turning point for ending slavery and defining the moment for the American Civil Rights Movement.
