IMPLEMENTATION CHECKLIST ❏ Create a vision for Personalized Learning (core of district strategic plan) ❏ Envision the ideal culture of learning for students and educators ❏ Envision what that would look like for students to own their own learning using Gooru ❏ Involve the community in the shift to Gooru - students, parents, teachers, leaders, staff, governing board - gaining BUY-IN is KEY ❏ Construct a transition plan to shift from traditional instruction to the district’s vision for implementing Gooru ❏ Plan for rolling out Gooru ❏ Develop YOY Goals for creating content AND implementing Gooru in the classroom ❏ Consider what supports need to be in place each year to meet these goals ❏ Define what success looks like ❏ Establish a model for Continuous Improvement and put key deliverables/check-ins/reviews on the calendar ❏ Determine the level of access to technology and what the needs are regarding infrastructure ❏ Consider physical space needs ❏ Curriculum and assessment development ❏ Identify content creators ❏ Determine scope and sequence of content creation and implementation ❏ Establish expectations for course content and consider how it integrates with other aspects of the educational program at the school ❏ Establish a course review process to ensure cohesion and alignment with standards, DOK, 21 Century Skills, etc. ❏ Develop clarity around supports for students with special needs, English language learners, and students who perform above/below grade level

IMPLEMENTATION CHECKLIST ❏ Develop explicit expectations for both educators and students using Gooru ❏ Determine Student Habits of Success ❏ Expectations for completing collections, assessments, and multiple attempts ❏ SEL needs of students ❏ Motivational elements ❏ Internalize own data and embrace a growth mindset ❏ Determine Teacher Habits of Success ❏ Establishing a culture of learning ❏ Responding to data ❏ When to review data ❏ How to review data ❏ What to do with the data (in the moment, the next day, long-term) ❏ Remixing content and creating additional checks for understanding ❏ Planning for off-line activities that wrap around Gooru (i.e. teams, goal-setting and reflecting, projects, discussions, Socratic Seminar, labs, peer support, re-teaching, small group instruction, direct instruction, homework, etc.) ❏ Determine School Leader Habits of Success ❏ Create a checklist/rubric for walkthroughs ❏ Identify key levers for coaching around best practices for implementing personalized learning in the classroom ❏ Create a talent management plan ❏ Recruit educators who value PL & want to incorporate it into their practice ❏ Provide ongoing professional development and coaching/mentoring for both teachers and school leaders on Gooru, instructional practices, classroom management, data analysis, responding to data
