The function of the Urinary System is to remove liquid waste from the blood in the form on urine. Helps to keep a stable balance of salts and other substances in the blood. Function of the Urinary System

Parts of the Urinary System ○ Kidneys- extract waste from the blood, balances body fluids. ○ Ureter- carries urine from the kidneys to the bladder. ○ Bladder- stores the urine ○ Urethra-carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body

Disease of the Urinary System ○ Kidney Stones ○ Bladder Cancer ○ Urinary Tract Infection With age there is change within the system. For example the bladder becomes weaker meaning that the person will get an urge to urinate more often. With older people the urge for urination might be delayed.

Function of the Endocrine System The function of the Endocrine System is to produce and secrete hormones, chemical substances produced in the body that regulates the activity of cells of organs.

Disease of the Endocrine System ❖ Diabetes- increased levels of glucose in blood ❖ Hypoglycemia- low blood sugar ❖ Graves Disease- overactive thyroid
