Training the Troop Cookie Manager

Prepare for the training Secure location for training and invite TCM’s to the training Check with SUM to confirm TCMs are registered and background checked Troops will need to set up banking information on GSCM Financial Reporting System TCMs will complete the T10 and Booth Sale Etiquette Agreement online before access to Smart Cookies will be granted One or more trainings may be needed especially for new troops No troops will be able to order cookies via Smart Cookies if electronic forms requirements are not met

Opt out of Girl Recognitions Verify Troop contacts and banking information is correct in Smart Cookies 10/8 Initial Troop Cookie Order and Early Recognitions due in Smart Cookies by 5PM or they are forfeited 10/10 SU Cookie Manager checks Early Recognitions Order and submits SU orders by 9am Depot Insert date and time info here (October 26-31) 10/26 -11/11 Great Cookie Dash 12/4 9 AM Troop Final Report and Main Recognitions due in Smart Cookies by 11:59PM. All troops need to submit Recognitions 12/6 Cookie Sale ends, Troop financial obligations complete SU Cookie Manager reviews and submits Final recognitions order by 9AM

ACH Dates 11/15 $2.00 per box for the troops initial order, including Trios and Cookie Share 11/22 50% of balance due to GSCM in Smart Cookie as of 11/17 11/29 50% of balance due to GSCM in Smart Cookie on the 11/27 date 12/8 All remaining cookie balance

Depot Day Safety First – No tagalongs
Depot Day Safety First – No tagalongs! TCMs will need their T1 Cookie Passport to be able to pick up cookies at Depot Sort and count your cookies before loading car or signing documents Date and time of Depot will be confirmed with GSCM about 1 week before delivery Be flexible

Cookie Dash Place preorder for cookies by 10/8 Pick up order at Depot Day Sell your initial order and replenish at a cupboard by 11/11 (This includes Cookie Share Cookies) Troops that complete the Dash will receive a Special Cookie Gift Pack and Great Cookie Dash patches for girls. (Per Smart Cookies on 11/11)

Cookie Cupboard Procedures Open from 11/2 to 12/2 Locations listed on roster, sent via * Reserve cookies via planned order - CASES ONLY * Cupboard Managers send confirmation * Verify location of cupboard * Arrive at assigned time * Bring signed T1, T12 if necessary *No returns! No Walk-ins

Troop to Troop Troops can swap cookies one for one, no paperwork is needed. Troops can transfer their cookies out of inventory to another troop *T4 form is filled out * Entered into Smart Cookies in a timely manner by the giving troop Single Boxes are OK

Booth Sales Sites are secured by trained and appointed SU Booth Sale Coordinator not TCM Service Unit Booth selection or lottery is held to assign booths Additional Booth Locations in Smart Cookies If you can not attend the booth, as early as possible, it needs to be updated and released in Smart Cookies so others can use the booth location

Successful Booth Sales Parental support is needed at all booths Secure location for money Clean, dry area for cookies Enthusiastic, knowledgeable Girl Scouts Goal Signs Cookie Share Goals Bundles Cookie swaps Recipe card Thank you cards Reorder stickers Credit Card reader Cookie Share Donation Container Emergency Procedures Card Permission slips

Tips for Success Make frequent deposits Use Smart Cookies to ensure correct ACH amounts to avoid overdrafts Frequently review the status of the cookie order during the sale and update girl’s sales TCMs are financially responsible for all cookies in the troop’s possession Report delinquencies to the Troop Leader and Service Unit Cookie Manager

Recognition Choices for Girls All troops need to submit a Recognition order in Smart Cookies by December 4th. Troops Opting out will need to place order for patches Girls will have the choice of 2 items at most levels OR $ Adventure Bucks* may be chosen and can ‘purchase’ Camp discounts, travel opportunities and fun stuff Cookiesx2 Girls that sold 100 boxes of cookies in 2017 sale and double their sales this year will be awarded a Mystery Adventure to take place in the summer of *Girls that opt out are not eligible for Adventure Bucks

Recognitions for Girls Juniors and older may opt out of Recognitions but still receive patches Profit levels are determined by total troop sales TCMs to regularly update sales data to empower girls in reaching their goals Main Recognition Order submitted by 11:59 pm on December 4. Additional Cookie patches available at the store for purchase
