2. Background of our School
Helensvale State High is an Independent Public School that provides future pathways for our students. We recognise that the world is constantly evolving. Business and Entrepreneurial skills are highly sought after. We are one of the largest schools in Queensland with over 2500 students and are located on the northern end of the Gold Coast. We believe in a school where students are provided with cutting edge, global, real, rigorous and radical opportunities to co-create their many futures in a school, within a school. Helensvale State High provides opportunities for students to participate in a variety of programs which deliver ‘learning–how-to-learn’ capabilities necessary for all young adults navigating our digital, interconnected world, highlighting the key learning activities of Collaboration, Knowledge, Real-World Problem Solving, Innovation, ICT for learning and productive communication and many more.

Our school is renowned by parents and families, other education and training institutions, local business and community organisations, for seeking ways to enhance student learning and wellbeing.
Partnerships are strategically established to address identified student needs and operate by providing access to experiences, support, mentors and other physical resources which would enhance student engagement.
As a school it is imperative that continued partnerships are fostered, as Helensvale is proudly committed to the education and the success of our aspiring students and show that ‘community spirit’ incorporates the wider community.
