Meeting Challenges MSBA has a strong working knowledge of school districts; we listen to the needs of school districts. Teletherapy Services Speech & Language Behavioral Health Services
Occupational Therapy Pilot All providers on our team are dedicated to working with the students and their parents, teachers, administrators, and other ancillary staff at school to meet health, educational and classroom needs.

Transportation Solutions
Teletherapy allows districts to: Provide related services to students in private/parochial settings, eliminating the need to bus students and the additional caseload burden on therapists within your buildings. Provide homebound services, allowing families to participate, as approriate, and interact with providers while meeting the needs of the student. Provide services to several buildings within your district without travel time between buildings.
10
Staffing Solutions Teletherapy can be utilized to:
Allow consultation from experts in order to deal with challenging students. Provide direct therapy and/or evaluation services using qualified/licensed providers. Provide supervison services for implementers, SLP-A’s, or CCC’s using qualified/licensed providers.
11
Service Delivery Solutions
Teletherapy can help: Provide compensatory services. Meet IEP minutes when caseloads exceed limits and a few extra hours of service a week are needed. Cover SLP services on a short-term or long-term basis when leave of a therapist interferes with services to students.
12
Supervision Solutions
Speech implementers SLP-A’s CF, with ASHA approval OTA’s Our supervision services allow other therapists within the district to work with children directly and help with workload. Teletherapists can supervise your district’s:
13
Student Specific Solutions
Unique needs of students can be met by assigning therapists with related expertise. We can assign a therapist who is bi-lingual in Spanish and English to serve a Spanish speaking student in your district who needs speech/language therapy or assessments. We also have a therapist proficient in American Sign Language.
14
Advantages to MSBA’s Teletherapy Services
Our therapists/providers are trained in IDEA compliance. Our therapists/providers can complete all required functions under the IDEA (evaluations, eligibility determinations, IEP development, required meetings, etc.). Our therapists/providers have received all required training under federal law and MO statutes for school employees in Missouri. Our therapists are trained on MSBA Medicaid billing software and will file claims for all billable services, if the district desires us to do so. (Districts will receive the revenue directly from MO HealthNet Division.)
15
MSBA’s Commitment to Your District
WILL provide therapists when the district has unmet needs. WILL provide contextually appropriate services. WILL work creatively to address your situation. WON’T hire therapists away from districts. WON’T have extra or hidden costs or be cost prohibitive. WON’T leave your district unsupported.
16
For districts billing Direct Services under Medicaid with MSBA Medicaid Consortium…
Districts have access to complete therapy management through MSBA software. Districts may use our technology to provide secure tele-conferencing and homebound services. Parents can attend conferences from work. Administrators can attend meetings without travel. Therapists can attend meetings in other buildings without travel. Nurses can see children in other buildings without travel.

Positive Results Here is what Missouri Districts are saying about teletherapy services: Billie, MO School Principal “I sat in on one of Ashley's (SLP) lessons last week and thought it went very smooth; the student was engaged the whole time and Ashley was very enthusiastic” Natalie, MO Speech/Language Facilitator “It is amazing to see how well the students have grasped ipads and use the technology, how focused they are and intrigued about learning their sounds. …….Kayla (SLP) makes this experience very easy and smooth. She is always very professional, engaged with every student, energetic, and redirects the student if they seem to get off task. Kayla diligently shows great patience, uses the appropriate material or tools to meet the individual need of each student on their level, and provides progress feedback to each student” Kimberly, MO Process Coordinator “Rachael (SLP) has been amazing! She is super knowledgeable and really seems to know her students’ needs even after only a few sessions. Parents and teachers have been pleased so far with Rachael’s participation at IEP meetings”
