The company’s primary markets are automotive OEM facilities and aftermarket service and collision repair providers. The company also produces specialized equipment for industrial markets. AMH has enjoyed steady and continuous growth thanks to ongoing research and new product development to meet market demand. AMH now exports 75% of its product worldwide. Customer bases exist in North America, United Kingdom, Europe, North & South Africa, Australia & New Zealand, Asia, Central & South America and Middle East. The distribution network extends to more than 80 countries.

The use of UV coatings in the automotive refinish and repair market has been growing over the last few years. UV curing is a rapid curing process in which high intensity ultraviolet light is used to create a photochemical reaction that cures instantly. The main advantages of UV curing are: low temperature process, high speed process, and cure by polymerization rather than by evaporation. 4
5
Advantages of UV Curing
The primary advantage of curing finishes with ultraviolet lies in the speed with which the final product can be readied for shipping. In addition to speeding up production, this can also reduce flaws and errors, as the amount of time that dust, insects. or any airborne object has to settle upon the object is reduced. This can increase the quality of finish. 5
6
Safety Requirements To reduce the risk of injuries, AMH Canada Ltd, in collaboration with Akzo Nobels, developed a special glass that filters out all the harmful UVB & UVC. The transmission is near of 0% at 315nm with the glass filter. UVA: nm / UVB: nm (harmful UV radiation) / UVC: nm (very harmful UV radiation) 6

Types of UV Curing Mercury vapor lamps are the industry standard for curing products with ultraviolet light. The bulbs work by high voltage passing through, vaporizing the mercury. An arc is created within the mercury which emits a spectral output in the UV region of the light spectrum. This intense spectrum of light is what causes the rapid curing in the automotive paint applications. 7
8
Types of UV Curing In the last few years, an emerging type of UV curing technology has entered the automotive marketplace, the UV LED curing. This technology is growing rapidly in popularity and has many advantages over mercury based lamps. 8
9
Through the years, AMH Canada Ltd has designed, created, and manufactured two different lines of UV curing lamps. Spectratek UV: A line of UV curing lamps using the standard UV light tube. Spectratek LED: A line of UV curing lamps using the most advanced high-power UV LED technology.
10
Spectratek UV is the first line of UV curing lamps designed and manufactured by AMH Canada. The curing lamps meet or exceed the highest international standards for performance and safety. These lamps utilize a mecury vapor lamp system. The line has been designed and built in North America for use worldwide on all current ultraviolet light curable fillers, base coats (primers), top coats, and clear coatings.
11
Efficient Lamp Units Lamp arrays with reflectors are all positioned for uniform radiation over the largest possible curing area. In addition, individual lamp heads may be angled to more closely match the contour of the work piece.
12
Spectratek UV curing lamps features:
Fast & easy set-up; Lightweight, manoeuvrable lamp stands; Adjustable lamp arrays; Cooling fans in each head to extend bulb life; UVB & UVC filtering tempered safety glass.
13
Digital Control System
Control Systems All the models can be equipped with an Analog Control System or a Digital Control System located on the back panel lamp. The Analog Control System includes mechanical timer, ON/OFF switch for each head lamp and indicator lights. Analog Control System Digital Control System 13

Spectratek LED is the new UV curing lamp line developed and designed with the most advanced LED technology. Faster, safer, and more efficient than any other conventional UV curing systems for automotive repair and industrial finishes. An environmentally-friendly process with a low energy consumption.
18
Spectratek LED UV curing lamps advantages:
Almost instant full cure with no heat; Ready to sand, buff and deliver in under 3 minutes; More than 30,000 hours lifetime.
19
Curing Area for a Single Head
Spectratek LED UV curing lamps advantages: Manufactured with a unique passive thermal management system specially designed for high power UV LEDs; Emits only UVA radiation (395nm); No harmful UVB & UVC Uniform irradiation (Average irradiation: 7.0mW/cm2) Curing Area for a Single Head
20
More advantages of UV LED Curing:
Contains no mercury, eliminating the need for special disposal/recycling; Does not produce ozone gas when in use as conventional mercury lamps do. Provides consistent UV spectral output for a given temperature. The Spectratek LED curing lamps are definitely environmentally-friendly!
21
All the models are equipped with a distance sensor and a digital control board. The distance sensor allows the operator to adjust the lamp unit at the proper 300mm from the curing surface. The digital control board allows the selection and displaying of the curing parameters through a multiple language interface.
