TRECCAFRICA Trans-disciplinary Training for Resource Efficiency and Climate Change Adaptation in Africa The TRECCA programme is coordinated by the Centre for Collaboration in Africa (CCA) and the contact person is Ms Norma Derby. The purpose is to educate and develop young African scholars to understand new approaches through ‘transdisciplinary’ research. The project wants to award 86 Masters and Doctoral fulltime and exchange scholarships and 14 staff exchange opportunities . The programme range across disciplines such as sustainable development, environmental management, renewable energy, food science and technology natural resource assessment, climate and society, biotechnology, agro-ecology, soil physics, microbiology and veterinary medicine. TRECCAFRICA partner universities: University of Botswana, University of Dar es Salaam (Tanzania), University of Ghana, Mekelle University (Ethiopia), University of Nairobi (Kenya), and coordinator, Stellenbosch University (South Africa). The scholarship covers: air ticket and visa costs, medical insurance, and subsistence allowance. Next Call for Applications 25 February - 10 March 2017. For more information -
