6. Problems Interfaith marriage can cause tension in families.
The ceremony, which religion?
Children, which religion?
Funerals and burial, which religion?
Beliefs affecting the marriage, sex before marriage, abortion, euthanasia, circumcision, food laws etc…
Trying to convert each other can cause tension
Tension about new or existing laws, e.g.. Alcohol, abortion, euthanasia, freedom of speech
Tension caused by conflict abroad
Increased paranoia, fuelled by the media that neighbours could be terrorists
