Teaching and learning are related but independent processes; therefore, a teacher plays a pivotal role to create effective management consisting of teacher behaviors that produce high levels of student involvement in classroom activities.

1) Whole-class teaching Advantages
Reinforces a sense of belonging among the group members. It is suitable for activities where the teacher is acting as controller. It allows teachers to gauge the mood of class in general.

Everyone is forced to do the same thing. It may not encourage students to take responsibility. It is not good to organize communicative language teaching.

2) Students on their own (individualized learning) Advantages
It allows students to respond individually. It develops student autonomy. It may be free from noise.

It doesn’t help a class to develop a sense of belonging. it wastes time if the teachers check the students’ product.

3) Pairwork Advantages It allows students to work and interact independently. It allows teachers time to work with one of the pairs. It recognizes the old maxim “two heads are better than one”. It is easy to organize.

It is usually noisy. It allows students to discuss something else. It can be problematic to choose a partner.

It increases broader skills of cooperation. It promotes learner autonomy to make a decision. It allows students to choose their own role.

It increases level of noise. some students may fail to interact with the other members of the group. Some members may be passive It takes time to organize groups.
