Early years Horatio Nelson was the sixth of 11 children of the village rector, Edmund Nelson, and his wife, Catherine. Nelson was born in a gentle, scholarly and poor family.

When Horatio’s mother died, Captain Suckling, her brother, agreed to take the boy to sea.

In Naples Nelson met Sir William Hamilton and his wife Emma.

Nelson continued to meet with Emma Hamilton
Nelson continued to meet with Emma Hamilton. Then he sent from London for his connection with Emma. During his travelling Nelson heard that she had born him a daughter named Horatia.

When Nelson returned, he bought an elegant country house in Merton Place, where he lived with Emma.

Admiral Nelson died in 1805.He was buried in St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Conclusion Looking through the history of Nelson’s life we make a conclusion that Nelson was the most outstanding person in British history. He was a brave, talented commander.
