REGULAR vs PROFESSIONAL DEGREE
Regular Degree Professional Degree Academic degree provides certain educational standards and in-depth knowledge Its purpose is to increase the subject matter, rather than specific applications of knowledge to practice Eg. B.Com, B. Sc. B.A. etc. Professional degree helps you to demonstrate practical skills as well as theoretical knowledge Practical knowhow can be gained through 2 – 3 months of training of internship programme Eg. BBA, BCA, BBS, Hotel Manangement Etc. Min % needed: almost 90% or depens from college to college Min. % needed : 50% + entrance test

THE BUSINESS MANAGEMENT OPTION
Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) Bachelors in Business Economics Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA/BCA-IT) B.Com B.Sc. BA

BBE BA (Hons.) in Business Economics is a course, designed to create a strong orientation towards application of economics and related tools at various functions of an enterprise. candidates who have scored minimum 60% (55% for SC, ST) marks in 10+2 in four papers including English and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

What After BBE? For B.A. in Business economics graduates, jobs in fields like insurance, finance, consultancy, banking, stock markets are available. The Indian Economics Services and Reserve Bank of India are most sought after career destinations for Economics graduates.

BBA Bachelor of Business Administration, it is a bachelor’s degree in business administration. It is a course which can be done by the students after completion of their class 12. BBA course duration will be 3 years Minimum eligibility for BBA is Students who pass class 12 / HSC exams are eligible for doing BBA course. But some institutes may demand minimum percentage of 50% or 60% based on the university standards. Students who appeared for HSC exam and waiting for their results are also eligible for appearing the BBA entrance tests.

BBS BBS, is a three years undergraduate degree course which facilitates the integration of academic knowledge and practical work experience. Passing score in 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with aggregate 60% marks (55% for SC/ ST/ WW/ Physically Challenged Categories) in four papers including English(might vary)

What After BBA/BBS Further studies at the Post Graduate Level
Management – MBA/ MMS / PGDM Non – Management - CA, CS, Law, Civil Services, etc Higher Studies Abroad MS/MBA Entry Level jobs in the private sector Sales , Marketing, Auditing, Data Analyst, Market Research, etc. Jobs in public sector Govt. of India through the UPSC or State Services Public Sector Banks as Probationary Officers Govt. of India Companies (PSU companies like IDBI, SIDBI, railways , etc.)

BCA Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is an undergraduate degree course in computer applications. Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is one of the popular courses among the students who want to make their career in the IT The duration of the course is 3 years and divided into 6 semesters. Candidate must have passed class 12th or senior secondary examination with at least 50% marks including English. The 12th examination must be passed/Appearing with mathematics as a compulsory subject. The students are generally admitted on the basis of personal interview and written examination conducted by various institutes/universities. while others might consider the merit score.

What After BCA? One can do job or can go for higher studies after the completion of course. Self employment option is also available. You can do freelancing or develop your own software if you have that much skills. There are many software MNCs (Multi National Companies) which provide job to the BCA graduates. If candidate has a work experience and all the necessary required skills then he/she can hold good positions in MNCs.

B.Com Can be pursued as a full time course or through distance learning. It is general in the sense that it is not Subject Specific and one can choose a number of combinations of subjects apart from 1 – 2 compulsory subjects. These subjects vary from institute to institute. Duration: 3 years Level: Graduation Type: Degree Eligibility: 10+2 or Equivalent Students with 50% in H.S.C examinations (10+2) from a recognized Education Board with Science, Arts, Commerce stream can opt for B.Com. However students with a commerce background are preferred

BCA/B.SC (Computers) The BCA and the B.Sc. (Computers) courses groom the students with comprehensive inputs from the rapidly changing IT industry. ADMISSION PROCEDURE The written examination is conducted by some universities independently Subject areas covered are – Mathematics, English, Reasoning, IT Awareness, and General Knowledge Higher Mathematics – This entrance examination focuses on higher mathematics that covers topics like P&C, probability, functions, trigonometry, binomial theorem, etc. Written examination is followed by counseling sessions according to position/rank obtained by the candidate. This leads to final admission and selection of college as per student’s ranking.

The polytechnics are dedicated to offering a number of profession programs under one roof. The programs offered by a polytechnic help one to start his or her profession, either through a job at a well-known company or by beginning his own business. Provided in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, the maximum age limit shall be 22 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
