I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you always,
even unto the end of the world.”

4. Notice the critical dimensions of this commission:
1. The Power of Jesus. Mt. 28:18
“all power is given unto me in heaven and in Earth”
A. Only God can change a heart and destiny.
Col 1:13-14 “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood,
even the forgiveness of sins”

Lk 24:46-48 “Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations…

“Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again”. 1 Cor. 15:3,4
1) Introduce them to Jesus! Luke 19:10

1) Because Jesus is their only hope.
John 3:3 “Except a man be born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Acts 4:12 “neither is there salvation in any other, for there is none other name under heaven …whereby we must be saved”

2) Because God wants everyone to be saved!
2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is …longsuffering to us-
not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.”

Koinōnia diakonia: partnership (communion) of service

“And this they did, not as we hoped,
but first gave their own selves to the Lord,
(They “Partnered” with God!)
and unto us by the will of God.”

22. that ye through his poverty might be rich.”

2 Cor 8:7-9 “Therefore, as ye abound in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.
I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor,
that ye through his poverty might be rich.”

23. We do this for World Missions through our “faith promise” giving.
“He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;
he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart,
so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:
for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:6-7

24. “God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

He hath dispersed abroad; (Shared God’s “seed”) he hath given to the poor: (Invested in others) his righteousness remaineth for ever.
