4 CERTIFICATION LEGISLATION
Legislation passed in 2004/2005 Institutions must certify insurance coverage for athletically-related injuries sustained during covered events Must be equal or greater than Catastrophic program deductible Can be provided through: Parents’ or guardians’ insurance; Student-athlete’s insurance; or Institution’s insurance

Report serious injuries that may exceed the policy deductible to American Specialty the next business day following the injury
