Objective 3 The main objective of this project is to move forward the current waste management practices into a circular economy motto, demonstrating the value of integrating and validating a set of 20 eco-innovative solutions that cover all the waste value chain. The benefits of these solutions will be enhanced by a holistic waste data management methodology, and will be demonstrated in 4 complementary urban areas in Europe. 4 European countries Cascais (C); Portugal Zamudio (Z); Spain Seveso (S); Italy Halandri (H); Greece

4 Specific objectives Objective How? SO1
Reduce the generation of waste Implementation of cost-effective prevention campaigns and the promotion of cooperative activities to boost the reuse and more sustainable consumption models. SO2 Promote the long term behavioural changes of waste generators (citizens and industries) Fostering transparency, citizen empowerment and engagement SO3 Improve the integral waste management services Reducing their overall costs and GHG emissions SO4 Eliminate the primary waste deposited into landfills Maximize waste reuse and recycling SO5 Promote the creation of new government and business models Moving towards a circular economy SO6 Implement pilot activities in Z (Spain), H (Greece), S (Italy) and C (Portugal) Testing and demonstrating the methodologies and technologies deployed under real conditions SO7 Facilitate the transferability to the market of the new proposed eco-innovative solutions Creation of a taylor business plan for each exploitable result in the project SO8 Disseminate the project results By defining a Communication and Dissemination strategy
