Combined Transportation Emergency and Communication Center What is the EOC? It is the Emergency Operations Center

4 The Wizard of OZ What does the Wizard of OZ have to do with CTECC and EOC? Most of the business at CTECC goes on behind curtains! You don’t really want to know what is behind the curtains, it might be the wizard

9 CTECC Entrance Access to the building is through a barrier, and a steel gate. The entire property and the access road are under video surveillance. One then enters through metal detectors and shows proper ID. Then you can go up stairs to the EOC area.

ARES only interacts with the EOC The EOC is a big room There are many seats Each seat is for a ESF or Emergency Support Function Police, Fire, EMS, Utilities, Floods, Red Cross, are some of the seats

19 Salient Features To the rear of the picture is the audio-visual controls. Microphone, Projectors (3), Screens (3) with TV displays. To the far right is ATX Floods work area usually manned by Matt Porcher. There are two rows on the right and left ends and one “TEE” row for the Incident comander.
