2 Early Life Steve Irwin was born on February 22, 1962 in Essendon, Australia. His parents were Bob and Lyn Irwin. Grew up on a zoo named Beerwah Park in Beerwah, Australia where he grew up. 3 Family Other than his parents Bob and Lyn, Steve met an American conservationist/businesswoman name Terri. They had a daughter named Bindi and a son named Robert Terri was Steve's main "partner in crime" on their shoots for the T.V. show as well as helping out in the Australia Zoo. Breguet, Amy. 4 Adulthood/Influence Steve left the park as a young adult and worked for the government on their Crocodile Management Program, spending months away from civilization in search of large crocodiles that were causing problems. He earned the title of the top "Croc Hunter" Taking a video camera with him on his escapades created the movie "The Crocodile Hunter" which put him on the map. 5 Influence Steve was raised to enjoy nature and the animals that lived there from the very beginning since his parents were very active in conservation efforts to save Australia's native wildlife especially reptiles. His T.V. show gave him money to help other conservation efforts as well as his organization, Wildlife Warriors Worldwide. This organization works to get rid of trafficking of animals, destruction of habitats, and poaching. Irwin's study and capture techniques are still in use to this today all around the world. 6 Death/Aftermath While filming an episode for a program called "Ocean's Deadliest" on September 4, he was killed by a stingray who stung him in the heart. The T.V. show stopped in 2007 but his legacy still lives on in the Australia Zoo and the Wildlife Warriors Worldwide.
