We are now witnessing dramatic changes in the field of viral hepatitis. In May 2016, Member States adopted the first ever Global Strategy on viral hepatitis, recognizing viral hepatitis as a public health threat and expressing commitment to combating viral hepatitis to reach elimination by 2030.

4. Goal of NOhep
Become the universal symbol for the elimination of viral hepatitis similar to how the red ribbon is used for HIV/AIDS.

Created by the World Hepatitis Alliance in 2016 as a civil society response to WHO’s Viral Hepatitis Strategy (GHSS)
Now an multi-stakeholder activity which campaigns to advance efforts to eliminate viral hepatitis
Independent platform led by WHO, CDC, CEVHAP, ELPA & WHA
