Our network vision – seamless converged services
The convenience of mobile with the power of fixed Seamless connectivity to the best fixed and mobile networks Customers migrate to “All-IP” services driven by compelling bundles of voice, broadband, TV and mobility by 2025, all customers will be using IP voice One common access platform Connected through copper, fibre and mobile A single, IP core network replacing legacy networks and platforms Services Network Here is our network vision in a bit more detail. when we think about fixed-mobile convergence, it’s not just in terms of the products we sell. It goes deeper than that, to the network. Our converged network will be set up to meet increasing data demand – providing seamless ubiquitous connectivity across devices, both indoors and out and about. In terms of our access network, we’re investing in our fibre network, with a vision of speeds of 500Mbps being available across most of the UK over the next ten years. Our fixed networks will work hand in hand with small cells in homes and businesses, and with EE’s market-leading network when people are outside. This vision will build on the investment we’ve made to date. And it will ultimately simplify our estate by replacing many of the legacy networks and platforms we have now, saving us costs in the longer term and giving our customers flexible and seamless services.
