Homework Homework and Reading Log (Please read 10 min. and initial each night) Math Sheet (Mon.-Thurs.) Spelling-3 assignments due within about 6-7 school days -2 Spelling City Assignments -10 sentences using the spelling words

Homework Approximately 20 minutes per night
Usually 10 minutes independent work Read 10 minutes or more each night Recommended: FIM Helpful Homework Hints Pencil Only Make sure your child has a quiet place to work Have a scheduled time for homework Review your child’s homework and provide assistance if needed Contact me if: Homework seems too difficult Homework is taking a lengthy amount of time If the basic concept seems to have been missed so we can offer your child extra assistance

Assessments Material on all formal tests will be reviewed in class.
A math review sheet will be sent for homework a few nights before a math test. All major tests are to be signed and returned to school.

If Your Child is Tardy/Absent
*Tardiness is any time after 9:10* Three Options the office (Directions on Goodnoe home page) me of absence Send a note in with your child on his/her first day back Missed Work If your child is absent for multiple days, you may call the office and arrange to pick up the work. me to send the work home with a student who lives near by According to the school policy, we may not provide students with missed class work prior to a vacation related absence.

Due to the many food allergies in the classroom and building, second grade will not be allowing birthday treats to be shared this year. Birthday invites cannot be given out in school unless inviting the whole class Snack aim for healthy and peanut free tightly sealed container to prevent any unwelcomed guests in our classroom Peanut free, tree nut free, and latex free room Scholastic Book Club Orders must be placed online Info. can be found in the Back to School Night folder

Reminders Holiday Parties 2 volunteers per party
will set up an online signup for volunteers to supply party items for each celebration using “Sign Up Genius” Conferences- conferences are scheduled for November 20st -22nd, but we can meet anytime you have a concern Report Cards- given three times a year Website- Often post pictures and information to our website.
