Iowa and Logramos Testing
If Instruction is in English, student takes IOWA! If Instruction is in Spanish, student takes Logramos! If Instruction is in English & Spanish, student takes both IOWA and Logramos (see above). Test Security Test Security Tests are to be:
held to the same standard as STAAR Testing; Tests are to be: Under ‘lock and key’ when not in use; Signed ‘out and in’ using material control forms; Tests are returned daily to the Campus Testing Coordinator; Materials are NOT to go home; NO discussion about the test content.

Testing Preparation Come up with a plan Go over plan with principal
Your plan must address the following: Training Test Administrators (teachers) Testing days / Make up days Start time / stopping time / breaks Testing locations Testing students / teachers Small groups (if applicable) Extra time groups (if applicable)

Testing Environment Make necessary arrangements for:
Physical arrangements; Adjustments for lighting; Heating; Ventilation; Control of visual distractions; Noise distractions.

Answer Documents Labels will be provided (1 set)
Labels are interchangeable between Iowa and Logramos Labels have all program information Bubble ‘F’ on ‘ALL’ IOWA answer documents NOTE: Before placing labels on testing documents, make sure the student is still enrolled on your campus.

Testing Materials Watch your for date and times to pick up your materials Count your materials after you have picked them up Extra materials: as needed Call Carolyn – Office / warehouse Will be handed out on a case by case When a student moves during the testing window to another Aldine school, make arrangements to move the students testing materials. NOTE: Due to subjects being instructed in English and Spanish, be mindful when ordering materials, some students may need an IOWA book and a Logramos book.

ACCOMMODATIONS Extra time – double ‘testing time’ on chart
Oral administration – follow STAAR guidelines Small group or individual testing settings are allowable Repeat directions as many times as necessary Proctor may record student’s answers if student is unable to do so When accommodations are used, you must follow STAAR Guidelines If accommodations are going to be allowed on STAAR (grade 3), they are allowed for IOWA. If accommodations were allowed for STAAR (grade 4-8), they are allowed for IOWA

Read directions as written After test directions and sample questions are completed, testing time will begin No calculators allowed Breaks must be given to students if more than one test is administered in a given testing session Emergencies: students are always primary concern stop testing time for emergencies Security of test materials must be maintained

Packing for Return Fill out ‘Building Identification’ sheet
Complete in pencil The same ‘Building Identification’ sheet is used for IOWA and Logramos Fill out one ‘Grade/Class Identification’ sheet for each testing grade level ‘Class Name’ will be as follows: School name – Kindergarten School name – First Grade School name – Second Grade

Packing for Return Return tests for scoring when:
All assigned tests have been completed One subject complete (reading/science) and second subject incomplete (math/social studies) Do not return tests for scoring when: Incomplete test: < 5 answers Student moves from Aldine before testing is completed Student is absent majority of testing window (Print attendance sheet) New student arrives and is unable to complete all tests

Packing for Return Returning tests:
Use the same boxes you received the test in DO NOT Pack IOWA and Logramos together Band consumable tests in groups of 25 Band answer documents by grade level Place 1 ‘Group/Class ID sheet’ on the first group of 25 of each grade level Brown band Group/Class ID Consumable tests School Name ___________ Grade level _____________ __1_____ of ___?__
