19. Chapter Performance – Creating Value for our CAHL Members
ACHE evaluates the health of each chapter based upon key performance measures. The CAHL Board has enhanced our monitoring of these key performance measures throughout the year.
Financially we remain strong in our ability to bring value to our members. Along with efforts to grow our sponsorship while maintaining a positive cash flow, we continue to support fees for events in the region, including today’s Annual Meeting. This year we hired a part-time administrative coordinator to support our sponsorship outreach as well as logistics for event coordination.

21. Growth in Outreach and Partnerships
Our Clinical Leadership Committee has worked to provide CEUs for our clinical colleagues. As the recipient of an ACHE Chapter Innovation Grant, CAHL is building this program into 2016 and for the future.
Collaborating with other progressive Bay Area healthcare organizations to co-produce panels and events, including recent opportunities to earn ACHE Qualified Education units at the Health IT Summit and the Haas Healthcare Association’s Symposium on Innovations in Diabetes Management and Prevention. We are thrilled to partner with the Network After Work series as well as HFMA.

22. Growth in Outreach and Partnerships
Launching the Military Outreach Committee to provide education offerings for Active Duty Military and VA Administration members, which resulted in the first military focused event at Travis Air Force Base attended by civilian, military and VA healthcare leaders, and also the establishment of a standing military article in our newsletter
Signing the joint partnership with the Women Health Care Executives (WHCE) and pursuing joint events. Additional caucus agreements are under discussion with other affinity groups as well.

Partnering with all the independent ACHE Chapters in California, and programs in Arizona and Nevada, to hold the Western Region College Bowl which included a case competition for graduate school programs and a Jeopardy style event for undergraduate programs
Continuing to hold Board of Governors Exam Study Group Sessions throughout the CAHL region along with support and outreach to those applying for their FACHE and seeking additional resources.

29. Professional development and advancement opportunities
Expanding the work of the Sponsorship Committee to expand the ability of CAHL to provide additional educational opportunities – thank you again to our generous sponsors!
Growing the Career Development and Transition Committee which aims to match executives with early to mid-level careerists for career counseling, mentoring and advice. Additional highlights:
Have initiated a blinded open positions list serve using local and national job availability sources.
Started a learning from leaders series of events where executives share there pathway and advice on career development.

30. Call for Coaches-Mentors
The Career Development & Transition Committee (CDTC) coordinates a career coaching and mentorship program for CAHL (independent of, and addition to, the ACHE sponsored program for mentor-mentees and the ACHE compensated coaches program)
Volunteer coach-mentor’s and advisee-mentee mutually agree on the nature, scope, boundaries and framework of their relationship
Potential Services include Career discussion, resume/cover letter review and career path development, Preparation for interviews, Personalized advice for career transition, Career mentoring, coaching and networking

Individuals play a critical role to strengthen our profession through volunteer activities.
ACHE provides three levels of service awards in appreciation of the extensive volunteer involvement of affiliates.
