The high school transcript is almost always the most important document in a student’s application. When the admissions committee or scholarship looks at your academic record they want to see that you have challenged yourself with difficult coursework, and have done well.  If your senior year schedule suggests that you're slacking off, that will be a huge strike against you.

7. Foundation Program with Distinguished Level of Achievement
Requires same courses as Foundation Program with Endorsements; however, one of the 4 Mathematics credits must be Algebra II
Required to be eligible for Top 10% Automatic Admission to Texas Public College or University

You must specify in writing an Endorsement area on your Personal Graduation Plan and Course request form during pre-registration.
