2. Competition update DANCE Design Technology
Year 7 students will create a poster based on their favourite scheme of work and the winning poster will be created into a postcard. Poster will be set for homework and students have 2 weeks to complete.
Winners will be announced by October half term
Design Technology
Year 7 students will create an architectural model based on the designs they have produced in lesson. The students will be given a base template for the model. The model will be set for homework and students will have 2 weeks to be completed.

Details/rules of the competition
Design a geographical image to be used on the front of our celebratory postcards. Five winning entries will be transformed into the postcards we send home this year. Students will be shown examples to gain inspiration.

Details/rules of the competition
Entry is by invitation only. Students will be selected by their Geography teacher (MABLE students) and they will be given a piece of independent fieldwork to investigate. They must carry out primary & secondary data collection methods and answer a hypothesis. How they present their work is their decision.

Design and make a model of a sustainable Dubai hotel.
Include features to ensure your hotel looks after the environment, improves the economy and helps local people. In addition to your model, you must include an accompanying written explanation of the sustainable features in your hotel.
