2 House Bill 5 Graduation Requirements
All students at Klein Oak High School are working towards a Foundation + Endorsement High School Diploma Foundation 22 Credits 5 EOCS Endorsement 4 credits = 26 credits Foundation + Endorsement High School Diploma = College and Career Readiness

3 HOUSE BILL 5 FOUNDATION CREDIT REQUIRMENTS
The following are the Foundation courses = 22 credits Freshman Sophomore Junior Senior English 1 (EOC) English 2 (EOC) English 3 (must complete and pass before taking Eng 4) English 4 Biology (EOC) Advanced Science/ Chemistry (recommended) or IPC Advanced Science/ Physics (recommended) or other advanced World Geography World History (optional) U.S. History (EOC) Government .5 Economics .5 Algebra 1 (EOC) Geometry Advanced Math (recommended Algebra 2) Foreign Language (1) Physical Education (1) Fine Arts (1) Foreign Language (2) Elective (Endorsement path introductory course) Elective

5 Foundation with ENDORSEMENT = 26 credits

A 4-year plan/7 period day allows for 28 credits to be earned. *Algebra 2 earns students the Distinguished Graduation Plan, thus allowing acceptance into the Texas TOP 10% Automatic University Admissions Program.

8 Multidisciplinary Elective Course Choices
Allows a student to select courses from each Endorsement area and earn credits in a variety of Advanced courses sufficient to meet the Distinguished Level of Achievement (per TEA)

Graduation Advisor Mary-Margaret Bollato Role and Responsibilities Facilitate the Credit Recovery Program (Diana Marr) Support the TXVSN coordinator on campus (T. James) Identify at-risk students, assess KO and student needs, and develop/coordinate interventions Plan, implement and evaluate high school completion with underachieving student groups. Maximize graduation outcomes for KOHS Consult with all stakeholders to identify and address pertinent problems and concerns related to high school completion. Enhance success of students who are at-risk of dropping out of school. Collaborate with key individuals to support 8th to 9th grade transition for students who exhibit early warning signs for dropping out of school. Implement transition programs for students who are 1st generation college-goers. Identify students who have dropped out and provide support to encourage re-engagement in school and attain high school completion Perform all duties as assigned by Dr. G. Build Relationships for support student success and outcomes.
