12 Charities Committee The charities committee would like your help in deciding which charities you would like us to donate to this year. As you know we are raising money from the Dress Down Days and some of that money is getting donated to charity. Please complete the survey with your register teacher so we can take your views on board.

Campus Tours Edinburgh Napier University is holding tours of its three main campuses to show prospective students the facilities on offer and to give them an insight into life as an Edinburgh Napier student. Merchiston - School of Computing, School of Arts and Creative Industries, School of Engineering and the Built Environment Craiglockhart - The Business School Sighthill - School of Applied Sciences, School of Health and Social Care Tours will be held at all three campuses on Friday 7 October, Wednesday 12 October, Wednesday 19 October, Wednesday 2 November, Wednesday 16 November, Wednesday 30 November and Wednesday 14 December. 18 Apprentice Information Days Saturday 5 November & Sunday 4 December
Torness Power Station is holding information days about its very successful Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship scheme on Saturday 5 November and Sunday 4 December to let prospective recruits know more about the programme. There will be three sessions on each day at 9:30, 11:00 and From studying at HMS Sultan in Portsmouth for the first two years, to what qualifications are needed and how to apply, the information day will prove invaluable to anyone considering a career in engineering maintenance. The information days will take place at Torness Power Station in the Visitor Centre and will last roughly 1.5 hours. RSP Consulting Engineers LLP Building Services Engineering – Mechanical Apprentice This is a four year apprenticeship within an Edinburgh based Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consulting Engineers practice. The role will include learning and implementing the design of Mechanical Building Services including CAD, Building Information Modelling (BIM), thermal modelling, design calculations, general administration and report writing. The successful applicant will be expected to attend college part time to work towards an HNC. On successful completion consideration will be given for further part time education to BSc/BEng, depending on HNC results.
