REMINDER The RCN Leadership Traveling Plate Awards
Each plate was painted by a Michigan artist with ASD and plates were awarded to RCNs at Spring Leadership 2016 Each RCN Member nominates a person who has gone above and beyond for the award and presents at the September and January RCN Meetings. Nominated person keeps plate until next nomination Take pictures of person with plate & send to START Have nominated person sign and date back of plate for record of who has received it Nominated persons may be showcased on social media and/or in START Connecting Newsletter

County Wide Peer to Peer Support Meeting All School Districts Represented One County in Each RCN will be selected to hold a county wide Peer to Peer Support Meeting with full district representation. The goal is to create a sense of healthy competition among districts, sharing what each district is doing in the county. Give aways like the bucket! START will create a template for County-Wide Peer to Peer Meetings

Regional Collaborative Networks Connecting with MAF Parent Mentors
RCN representatives can serve as a contact about resources and info in schools MAF Parent Mentor can attend RCN meetings to learn about RCN priority activities and share what is happening with MAF and families in the local area Develop a plan focused on critical issues in the local area and discuss ways to work together (e.g. behavior support in schools) Attend trainings offered by RCN and invite RCN to attend MAF trainings START Intensive Training – MAF Liaison attend trainings and connect with families (Saline & Ypsilanti; Jackson)

All forms can be found at: Your reporting forms can be found in: Make sure all relevant RCN reps are shared members of the RCN Dropbox folder (Jana has placed appropriate files in the folder) Review and complete the mid-year RCN report forms including Financial Expenditure Report CAUTION: Don’t cut and paste items in or out of Dropbox or the item will be removed from its original location – USE COPY and PASTE!!
