Benefits for IHE Several Asian countries are starting up e-Health programs Philippines: Started working on framework of the national HIE last year Australia: Decommissioning of NEHTA, started new “Australian Digital Health Agency” (close to HIMSS): restarting HIE activities Thailand: Early stage, currently finding the right way to establish an national EHR. Huge private sector, also connecting their facilities Singapore: Platform is in place and operational. Next generation is planned, which includes the private sector IHE Japan, Korea, Australia recommend holding the event “Regional” Program Planning Committee formed and consulted Conclusion: Area urgently needs “IHE presence” and education Topics for education: IHE General, Testing, CASC, Connectathon Benefits are high, risk of brand damage is very low 2017 is the perfect timing for the event!
