Definition Really – what does this mean?
To benefit customers using the Information Governance Catalog across their entire Data Integration landscape, for Data Governance, Data Quality and Business Driven Development – allow for the registration and support of their type specific and different Data Sources and Data Integration tools. Really – what does this mean? Allow customers to register and manage new Data Sources types and Data Integration Tool types using an open framework, based upon Catalog REST Service. Allow customers to import and manage instances of these new Data Sources or Data Integration tools. Allow customers to browse, search, query and govern these new Data Source or Data Integration assets, using Glossary Terms, Governance Rule, Data Stewards, Custom Properties and Collections. Allow customers to document and publish the usage and consumption of such Data Sources and Data Integration tools, supporting Data Lineage and Compliance Reporting.
