Important: RTCM 3.2 is the first standardized format which allows delivery of the corrections for more than just GPS+GLONASS. All the previous versions of RTCM like 2.3 and 3.0/3.1 were able only to deliver the corrections of 2 constellation. RTCM 3.2 is capable of delivering the information for more constellations. SP80 was the first receiver in the industry which provided that functionality. SBAS in RTK?: When speaking about Fixed RTK, one is usually interested in time needed to fix carrier ambiguity and achieve cm level solution insuring at the same time preset reliability. L1 RTK solution allows using SBAS measurements in RTK process, thus making it a true GNSS technology. SBAS gives extra GPS-like measurements, which improve Satellite geometry and allow achieving cm level accuracy faster compared to GPS only case. The GPS+SBAS RTK technique is similar to GPS+GLONAS L1 RTK technique. From the point of L1 RTK performance, two extra SBAS satellites do the same job as three extra GLONASS s satellites. The ‘power’ of L1 GPS+SBAS RTK and L1 GPS+GLONASS RTK is approximately the same. RTK with Long-Range Bluetooth: Unique technology in the Trimble and competition world. 19 Anti-Theft Technology (continued)
What happens when Anti-Theft is activated? Last known position is stored in the memory Alert is issued if: receiver has unexpectedly been unable to deliver a valid position for the last 20 seconds whenever the protected receiver computes a valid position that is distant by more than 100 meters What will happen when a theft is detected? Buzzer will emit sounds All output messages will be stopped (the protected base receiver will no longer generate and transmit corrections, or any other NMEA or raw data messages). The power button of the protected receiver will be made inactive, which means no one can: Reset the receiver Upgrade the receiver It is recommended to deactivate Anti-Theft when moving base between locations

Startup Protection: Enable when enabled after the receiver will be powered- up again its’ functionality will be extremely limited, mainly to establish the Bluetooth connection to the Data Collector Popup message will appear each time survey base will start

22 Validity Period How to deactivate? How does it work? How to activate?
Validity period (0 to 365 days) is designed to let users work with the receiver in a predefined configuration and for a limited period of time. After the validity Period, the end user cannot use the receiver anymore How to activate? Send the following command using Terminal Window in SurveyPro $PASHS,VLP,mypassword,X with 0 < X < 365 How to deactivate? Send the following command $PASHS,VLP,mypassword,0 During the Validity Period, it’s not possible to upgrade the FW and do a « Reset to factory » settings…

23 Data Logging General Status

On this slide please present the way to switch from the main Operating mode to the Data Logging screen. Please illustrated also how to start data logging as presented on the slide. In a simple way one could just say: press Power button 2 times shortly and then 3rd time longer for about 2 seconds to enter the data logging mode.

24 Data Download with USB Drive
Connect the USB key to a mini-USB-to-USB cable Connect cable to SP60 PN available soon After about 2 seconds, the buzzer sounds briefly, meaning the USB key is ready for use Log LED starts flashing amber at a fast rate. Press the Power button within 4 seconds. Download of the G-files is starting followed by the buzz sound. The buzzer will emit another sound when the file transfer is completed.

25 Data Exchange with File Manager
Spectra Precision File Manager is a software utility allowing to: Copy log files and G-files directly from the receiver’s internal memory. Delete any G-file or log file stored in the internal memory G-files are GNSS raw data files in proprietary format (ATOM) SP File Manager is available from the Spectra Precision website (SPFileManagerSetup.exe) through the link below:

Screw the UHF whip antenna onto the coaxial connector of the UHF module. Screw the top rod onto the threaded part of the UHF module. Mount the receiver + top rod to the range pole In case of external antenna, insert the antenna cable into the slot of the top rod.

Typical radiation pattern of Smart Antenna with the UHF antenna located offset to the side of the plumb pole. UHF Base Antenna Transmitter UHF Rover Antenna Receiver Carbon fiber or aluminum pole Good signal reception when line of sight is maintained in between UHF base and rover antennas. Real degradation of the signal can be seen when the carbon fiber pole is in the line of sight of the base and rover UHF. The radiated pattern is asymmetric and depends on the receiver UHF orientation.

Hold down the Power button for about 10 seconds. Reset procedure has started. 42 Battery Exchange [1] Place the receiver upside down on the flat surface. Press on the two locks on the trapdoor to release and remove the trapdoor. Align the curved edge of the compartment with the Spectra Precision logo on the battery. Take the battery and insert one of its end into the trapdoor then gently push the other end until the battery is fully inserted. The trapdoor is fitted with an auto-locking system that will keep the battery firmly in position once fully inserted. Insert the battery to the receiver.
