5 Easter Eve The Easter Vigil, Service of Light and first Mass of Easter
On the night before Easter Day, the new fire is kindled outside the darkened church, before the Paschal candle is carried in. For the first part of this dramatic service, candles provide the only light

6 Easter EVE Welcoming the risen Christ
A loud cacophony of sound heralds the coming of the light and the renewal of our baptismal vows. After the service fireworks in the church grounds proclaim the joy of the resurrection.

7 Easter Morning The church is well-filled for a recent Easter Day High Mass, with young people (with their balloons!) ready to receive their first Holy Communion The Easter Garden beneath the pulpit

8 Easter Day The Easter banners to left and right of the chancel screen are matched by the children’s banners carried below. At Festal Evensong, the choir prepare their musical offerings, and the processional cross shines in the procession to the choir at the end of the day’s celebrations.

9 Pentecost Pentecost, or Whit Sunday, is the Feast of the Holy Spirit and is celebrated as the birthday of the Church. St Faith’s is variously decorated with flying white doves and colourful balloons!

10 Pentecost The Church’s birthday is marked with balloons in the pews, red banners of the Holy Spirit – and a birthday cake from the children! The Paschal Candle, lit for the last time at this ending of the Easter season, is extinguished as the service ends.
