ACT test March 21, 2017

Prior to Test Day Get plenty of rest tonight.
Don’t just roll out of bed tomorrow morning. Eat breakfast prior to testing.

Test Day Students need to arrive at school by 7:30 a.m. tomorrow and should begin lining up outside the freshman wing to check in. Testing begins promptly at 8 a.m. Students who arrive after 8:10 will not be permitted to test. You must bring a photo ID School ID or driver’s license Failure to bring the appropriate identification could keep you from testing. You should bring several #2 pencils with erasers - do not bring mechanical pencils You may bring a calculator to testing – check your school for information regarding which calculators are allowed.

Test Day You cannot bring: Cell phones Electronic devices Food
Water or other beverages Homework/textbooks Books Magazines Scratch paper Highlighters, pens, correction fluid or tape (white-out)

Testing ACT Test 1 = 45 minutes Test 2 = 60 minutes Break = 15 minutes
Writing = 40 minutes

Test Break 1 You will receive a 15 minute break in the middle of testing. You will not be allowed to leave the 9th grade area during your break. You will not be allowed to be in the testing room during the break. You cannot access your cell phones, lockers, etc. during the break. You must remain quiet outside of the testing room, as other rooms may not be on break.

Test Break 2 You will receive a 5 minute break prior to the writing portion of the test. You may not leave the testing room during this break. You may stretch beside your desk.

Important Testing Information
You cannot work ahead or go back over previous sections. You must stop marking answers when the time has been called. You may be dismissed from testing due to inappropriate behaviors. You may not share calculators.

Test Results The results of the ACT will become an official part of your high school transcript. Test scores cannot be removed. Results will be used for college admission or scholarship purposes. Do your best on the test.
