Objectives of Self-Evaluation
To critically analyse the current practices in order to identify its strengths and areas that need immediate action for improvement. To create a collaborative culture with the active participation of all for making professional judgement and decision. To empower the school to understand its own performance so as to embark on a journey of continuous self-improvement.

Building Preparedness
Step – 1 Building Preparedness To organize introductory meeting of Shaala Siddhi with all members of school including Head Teacher, Teacher, SMC/SDMC and other staff members. To develop the understanding of process and advantages of Self-Evaluation through reading and discussion of School Standards and Evaluation Framework. Delegation of responsibilities and development of timeline to carrying out School Self Evaluation.

Taking Professional Judgment
Step – 2 Taking Professional Judgment Sources of Evidences help a school to support its judgment of placing itself at a particular level of a Core Standard of each key domain The team will collect the supportive & referential evidences and will analyze them. Tools for collecting evidences could be school observation, classroom observation, interaction with stakeholders and review of documents available in school. If the school being unable to gather the required evidences, it may seek the support of educational functionaries like CRC/BEO/DEO/DIET/SCERT etc. as well as the other school, which may have the required documents

Identifying and Recording Status of School Functioning
Step – 3 Identifying and Recording Status of School Functioning School need to record factual information for themselves (This need not to submit anywhere) that captures the school’s overall status in a particular key domain School evaluators need to carefully read and understand the descriptors across the three levels for each Core Standard and make a judgement based on the most appropriate level School needs to record its judgement in the Response Matrix provided for each Key Domain List innovations if any apart from the descriptors

Fill in School Evaluation Dashboard
Step-4 Fill in School Evaluation Dashboard Basic Information of the School Provide the school UDISE ID, the name the school and the name of the head/principal Demographic Profile: Provide the number of the students in the following categories SC, ST, OBC, General and Minority along with the total number of the students in the school. Class wise annual attendance rate: Calculate the class-wise annual attendance rate of boys and girls separately using the formula: Annual attendance rate = (Annual Attendance /Annual Instruction Days) * 100 # Attendance rate is the average attendance of all the students on all the instructional days of the school Learning Outcomes (Annual/Consolidated Reports): Provide the percentage of students who scored in the respective percentage Performance In Key Subjects: Provide the total number of students in key subjects/streams Teachers’ Profile: Provide Teachers’ attendance and training information

School Evaluation Composite Matrix
The school is required to write or tick the level (i.e. 1, 2 or 3) in core standards of Key Domain. Thereafter, prioritize the inputs required/ interventions needed in terms of low, medium and high by writing (L/ M/ H) against the appropriate degree of prioritization for each core standard. Action for Continuous School Improvement Plan The school is required to write it’s Mission Statement and Area of Improvement, Proposed Action, Support Needed and Action Taken

Code of Conduct for School
Carryout school Self Evaluation process without fear and maintain transparency Make fair and accurate judgements that based on clear, and strong evidences. Report honestly, ensuring that the judgments are fair and reliable. Act sensitively throughout the evaluation process especially during the school and class room observations acknowledging that the students are the ultimate beneficiaries of the evaluation process and avoid compromising independence and objectivity
