Waivers must be signed and submitted during registration. Divisions may be added or combined at tournament director’s discretion. Important Info: Registration starts at 8:00 am Black Belt meeting at 9:00 am Tournament starts approximately 9:30 am This tournament is an open tournament. We welcome all styles and competitors. No Gi Grappling Competition Danny DeMoss – Grappling Director Men’s division lbs lbs lbs 220 and up Ladies division 129 and under 130 and up Rules 5 minute match No small joint manipulation No striking No heel hooks or knee bars No compression locks (can openers, etc) 1st Incident – Warning 2nd Incident – Opponent awarded 2 points 3rd Incident - DQ Ages 16 years and up Skill levels Beginner - 1 year or less Intermediate – 1 to 3 years Advanced – 3 years plus Scoring: Takedown 2 points Sweeps 2 points Knee on stomach 2 points Pass guard 4 points Mount 4 points Back 4 points Submission: Win Weigh directly before match Names will be randomly drawn to fill brackets MMA shorts and compression shirts recommended. No gi tops allowed.

Kumite Competition Divisions 7 and under B, I 8-10 B, I, A 11-12 B, I, A 13-14 girls B, I, A 13-14 boys B, I, A 15-17 girls B, I, A 15-17 boys B, I, A Adult Women B, I, A Adult Men B, I, A Black belt women Black belt men “B” - Beginner – White, yellow, orange and gold “I” - Intermediate – green, blue and purple “A” - Advanced – brown, red and black Face contact in black belt division only Foam dipped approved sparring gear mandatory as follows: Hands Feet Mouth Piece Male – Protective cup Light head, body and groin contact allowed Hand and feet striking techniques allowed No leg kicks Competitors under 18 years of age must wear mandatory, approved head gear Competitors must wear approved, traditional martial arts uniforms Complete stand up sparring rules and scoring will be communicated prior to start.

Self Defense Competition All Ages No age brackets – By rank only Divisions: “B” - Beginner – White, yellow, orange and gold “I” - Intermediate – green, blue and purple “A” - Advanced – brown, red and black Judging / scoring will be similar to kata competition. Scoring will be based on realistic power, technique, focus and ability Competitor has 1 minute to demonstrate up to 4 techniques.

Registration and Waiver THIS IS A RELEASE. In consideration of acceptance of this entry, I hereby waive any and all claims for myself and my heirs against the Warrior Group, Incorporated, Freedom Baptist Church, American Bushido Kai Karate Association or any of its affiliates, sponsors, agents, servants, officers, officials, competitors, employees and/or volunteers, for injury or illness which may directly or indirectly result from my participation and I further agree to save and hold said parties harmless and agree to indemnify each of said persons against all liability for any loss, cost, injury or damage to persons or property which may arise by virtue of the undersigned engaging in the “Fight for Ryder” martial arts tournament. I further state that I am in proper physical condition to participate in this event. I recognize that the sponsors of this event have not undertaken to provide the undersigned with any medical care, treatment or advice concerning my participation in this event. I understand the tournament may be cancelled at any time for any reason and the times may be changed at the sole discretion of the sponsors. I understand that karate and grappling are a physical sport and that there is a possibility for injury or death in which I waive all claims and assume full responsibility for injury to myself. I agree to waive all rights to all photographs and / or video images of myself while participating in the tournament. I agree to conduct myself in a manner that honors my school, instructors and the sport of karate.
