Other impact The development of the curriculum, staff training and the increased pedagogical knowledge and confidence of staff have all contributed to making teaching never less than consistently good and often outstanding Teaching fully engages pupils in their learning with themes and activities that are highly motivating and inspiring. Teachers and teaching assistants have high expectations of themselves and their pupils. Assessment is used well to pitch activities that challenge all groups of pupils and the sensitive and skilful observation of pupils at work means that teaching staff adapt and flex tasks in response to emerging and changing need Pupils are very proud of their work and their productivity and presentation in all subjects reflects this. The teaching of literacy, mathematics and ICT across the curriculum is highly effective and there are many examples of outstanding cross-curricular work.
