Reading Test Overview: 47 questions multiple choice questions 60 minutes Series of passages, sometimes accompanied with charts and graphs Interpret meaning of words and phrases in context Analyze how word choice influences meaning, mood or point of view

Total questions- 48 40 multiple-choice & 8 student-produced response questions 25 minutes- no calculator 45 minutes- with a calculator Note: The redesigned SAT has an optional essay portion, however this is not a part of the PSAT

Social Media and College Acceptance
According to HuffPost Ed… 27% of admissions officers used Google or Social Media to screen students 35% found something that negatively impacted chances Don’t put too much stock in deleting things Use your online presence to highlight your interests/activities and supplement your application Colleges and employers are trending more and more towards using social media to recruit (In fact, your student should be following/friending recruiters to remain up-to-date on admissions information.)
