Students need 1 credit of World History in 9th grade. (Pick both) Early World History & Modern World History

3 credits/years World History-1 credit (9th) US History- 1 credit (10th) Government- .5 credit (11th) Economics-.5 credit (11th)

9TH GRADE SCIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Choice #1:PHYSICAL SCIENCE Choice #2:PHYSICAL SCIENCE/BIOLOGY BLOCK students will have Physical science 1st semester for 2 hours & Biology 2nd semester for 2 hours. (4 semesters total) Students should consult with science teachers and current counselor to make sure it’s an appropriate placement.

Science Graduation Requirements
3 credits/years Integrated Physical Science-1 credit (9th) Integrated Biology Science-1 credit (10th) Chemistry or Physics-1 credit (11th or 12th)

9TH GRADE MATH REQUIREMENTS
If a student is successful in their current math class it is common for them to move on to the next math level. Math teachers will make recommendations!

Math Graduation Requirements
4 credits/years Each student must minimally complete coursework through Algebra 2. A math or math related course must be taken in the final year of high school. High School courses taken in Middle school may be used to satisfy the MMC requirement and credits (not GPA) will be counted towards the 22 total credits needed to graduate.

Visual, Performing, Applied Arts-1 credit (2 semesters) Health & Physical Education- 1 credit Individual Wellness (.5 credit recommended for grade 9 & 10) Group Wellness (.5 credit recommended for grade 11 & 12) Online Learning Experience-no credit

Students who are doing well and successful in level 1 of a foreign language will be recommended to go on to level 2. Students should get teacher recommendations Students who haven’t begun a F.L. in MS can begin at level 1

College are looking for: 4 years of English Minimum 3 years of Math* Minimum 3 years of Science* Minimum 3 years of Social studies* Minimum 2 years of Foreign Language* Competitive schools look for AP classes * Students who are doing well and have the capacity of being successful at the next level should continue on for a 4th year!

Credit Recovery Correspondence & Online Classes
Students can take summer classes for High School credit Make-up work Make room in schedule for Band/Choir and Foreign Language Pick up Summer Packets in Counseling Office or online.
