2 THERE LIVED A LOT OF ANIMALS IN A POND

3 THERE ALSO LIVED A TORTOISE
AND TWO CRANES

4 THAT THE WATER OF THE POND
ONCE IT SO HAPPENED THAT THE WATER OF THE POND BEGAN TO DRY

5 AND PLANTS BEGAN TO PERISH
AS A RESULT THE ANIMALS AND PLANTS BEGAN TO PERISH

6 SLOWLY THE WATER LEVEL WAS REDUCING DAY BY DAY

7 THE CRANES BEGAN TO PLAN TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER POND
AND SHIFT THERE

8 THE TORTOISE WAS DISAPPOINTED “I WILL BE LEFT ALONE AND DIE”.
AND SAID “I WILL BE LEFT ALONE AND DIE”.

9 THEIR FRIEND THAT THEY WILL SEE COME BACK TO TAKE HIM ALONG
THE CRANES PROMISED THEIR FRIEND THAT THEY WILL SEE A GOOD POND AND WILL COME BACK TO TAKE HIM ALONG

10 THE CRANES FLEW HIGH AND FAR AND FOUND A POND WHICH HAD VEGETATION AND A LOT OF WATER.THEY CAME BACK TO TAKE THEIR FRIEND. IT WAS DECIDED THAT THE TORTOISE WOULD HOLD A STICK FROM THE CENTRE AND THE CRANES WOULD HOLD IT FROM THE EDGES OF THE STICK AND FLY WITH THEIR FRIEND.

11 IT WAS AN EXAMPLE OF A GREAT FRIENDSHIP INDEED
THEY ALSO EXHIBITED A GREAT TEAM WORK

12 THEY HAD TO TRAVEL A LONG DISTANCE TO REACH THE POND
ALL NEEDED TO FOCUS ON THE TASK

13 IT WAS A GREAT SIGHT AND PEOPLE FROM VARIOUS VILLAGES WATCHED THEM WITH AWE

14 HEY LOOK THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WATCHING US
TORTOISE HAD NEVER BEEN OUT OF THE POND AND FOR HIM OTHER VILLAGES WERE ALL NEW AND WHEN HE SAW THE PEOPLE STANDING TORTOISE WAS EXCITED AND HE SPOKE HEY LOOK THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WATCHING US

15 THE END OF THE STORY WAS SAD. THE TORTOISE FELL DOWN AND DIED.

Focus helps people pay attention in the midst of distractions and setbacks and to sustain the effort and energy needed to reach a goal.

18 Self-Awareness includes our recognition of ourselves, of our character, of our strengths and weaknesses, desires and dislikes. Empathy is the ability to imagine what life is like for another person, even in a situation that we may not be familiar with. Interpersonal-Relationship skills help us to relate in positive ways with the people we interact with. Effective-Communication means that we are able to express ourselves, both verbally and non-verbally, in ways that are appropriate to our cultures and situations. Critical-Thinking is the ability to analyse information and experiences in an objective manner. Creative-Thinking is a novel way which, contributes to both Decision-Making and Problem-Solving by enabling us to explore the available alternatives and various consequences of our actions or non-action. Decision-Making helps us to deal constructively with decisions about our lives. Problem-Solving enables us to deal constructively with problems in our lives. Managing Feelings and Emotions includes skills for increasing the internal locus of control for managing emotions, anger and stress. Slide

20 YES They knew they needed water for their survival and if they continued living in this pond it would be difficult to survive.

22 YES They could think about the problem analyze and find a solution. They not only made plan but also made a plan and executed the plan.

24 YES THEIR PLAN DISPLAYED A WELL THOUGHT OUT PLAN AND A VERY CREATIVE SOLUTION

26 Focus is the thinking skill that allows people to begin a task without procrastination and then maintain their attention and effort until the task is complete. Focus helps people pay attention in the midst of distractions and setbacks and to sustain the effort and energy needed to reach a goal.

27 The tortoise in accomplishing the task got excited seeing new places and people.
He forgot that flying was the core competency of his friends (cranes) He can not fly and so he must hold the stick with full grip and concentration. He got lost in overwhelming emotions and so ended his life.

28 FOCUS IS AN ESSENTIAL SKILL.
TO ACCOMPLISH A TASK FOCUS IS AN ESSENTIAL SKILL. IT IS IMPORTANT TO LEARN TO AVOID DISTRACTION
