First aid kits and Ice packs
Contact safety officer if you use supplies from a first aid kit. Accident report should follow. Contact safety officer if something is missing. You can use your own First Aid kit, but a accident report still needs to be done. Contact safety officer if the Ice packs get low. Concession stand has Ice for any injuries at our fields here.

Volunteer forms Manager and coaches need to have them completed to me before they start practicing. Managers must have team volunteer forms turned in before opening night. The only way you are allowed on the field is if you have a form completed.
5
Medical Release Forms / Parent code
This must be completed prior to the child practicing. This must be at all practices and games. If Manager will not be there someone else needs it. Keep the parent code with medical release form.
6
Accident reports An accident report needs to be filled out and sent to the safety officer anytime an accident occurs (even a cut on the finger). Report stays with the safety officer unless a claim needs to be made. Safety officer has 20 days to file a claim for an injury.

Accident reports Little League insurance is supplemental insurance not primary. Accident reports are in the safety plan and on the website. (preferred if it is done on a computer and ed to safety officer).

Safety Plan Review Purpose
The Woodbridge Little League Safety plan serves two primary purposes. First, this plan serves as an overall safety plan for the coming year for all safety related issues to include how Woodbridge Little League (WLL) will comply with all requirements for a “Qualified Safety Program.” Second, this document is available to all League volunteers and serves as a manual to define responsibilities and procedures to improve the safety of WLL.

Safety Plan Review Responsibility of Coaches and Managers
WLL Managers and Coaches play a critical role in implementing a successful safety program. The Managers and Coaches have daily contact with the players and have the greatest impact on making our program as safe as possible.
17
Safety Plan Review Accidents Overview
In the event any player, manager, coach, umpire, concession stand volunteer, league official, or spectator is injured while involved in activities sanctioned by WLL, the procedures provided in the “First Aid Training Course” shall be followed. To clarify accident reporting, it will be reported based upon the severity using the following categories: Broken bat, Dented helmet, Dull Glove, Metal cleat.
18
Safety Plan Review Broken Bat a major accident (i.e., compound fracture, unconscious, or other severe injuries) that requires the calling of rescue personnel, the manager will call for rescue and then notify the gray hat (if at Veterans Park) on duty during a game. The manager will also notify the president, PWC Park Ranger and safety officer if the accident happened during a practice or game. The PWC Park Ranger should be notified immediately using the non emergency police number, Accident report will be required within 48 hours.
19
Safety Plan Review Dented helmet a serious accident (i.e., bone fracture, a deep cut, eye injury, or tooth injury) that in the opinion of the manager or parent will require professional medical treatment, if during game, notify the gray hat on duty (If at Veterans Park). In all cases provide the parent with the safety officer information so they can get insurance information. Accident report will be required within 48 hours.

Safety Plan Review Accident Reporting
It is important that all required accidents, injuries, and safety incidents are reported to the WLL Safety Officer. The “WLL Accident Report” shall be used to record and report all accidents, injuries, and incidents as described earlier.
23
Safety Plan Review WLL Safety Officer’s Responsibilities –
Within 24 hours of receiving the WLL Accident Report the WLL Safety Officer will contact the injured party or the party ’s parents and verify the information received; obtain any other information deemed necessary; check on the status of the injured party; and -in the event that the injured party required other medical treatment (i.e., Emergency Room visit, doctor ’s visited) will advise the parent or guardian of the WLL Little League ’s insurance coverage and the provision for submitting any claims - Check on the status of any injuries, and - Check if any other assistance is necessary in areas such as submission of insurance forms, etc. until such time as the incident is considered “closed ”(i.e., no further claims are expected and the individual can participate in League again with the written concurrence of a physician).
24
Safety Plan Review Insurance Policies The AIG Little League’s insurance policy is designed to afford protection to all participants at the most economical cost to WLL. It can be used to supplement other insurance carried under a family policy or insurance provided by a parent’s employer. If there is no other coverage, AIG Little League insurance - which is purchased by WLL, not the parent -takes over and provides benefits, after a $50 deductible per claim, for all covered injury treatment costs up to the maximum stated benefits.
25
Safety Plan Review Insurance Policies WLL Insurance Policy is designed to supplement a parent’s existing family policy.
