Background
To enable County Louth Golf Club to continue to be a World Class course & Golf Club, over the last year we have identified some areas for improvement and some issues that need to be addressed.
To this end we are going to focus on the long term development of County Louth Golf Club in the following areas:

Course
The Committee to date has appointed golf course architects Spogard & VanderVaart to assist the Club with the development of a Golf Course masterplan and the development of a practice chipping Green.
Spogard and VanderVaart have successfully delivered on design projects for the Club in recent years and the Committee is confident that they will do so again.
The Development Masterplan will be based on and be protective of the existing layout.

Course
STP have been tasked with bringing our course up to a world class standard in terms of condition and presentation.
STP have carried out an audit of our course machinery and have proposed a replacement policy and maintenance programme to maximise efficiency.

Clubhouse / Environs
Brady Hughes have been appointed to seek planning permission for alterations to our current car parking, Bus parking and traffic arrangements.
Planning Application presently with Louth Co. Co. Decision due 4th February.
Following receipt of planning permission Brady Hughes will get accurate prices for works involved, following which a detailed proposal will be presented to members

CGI (Confederation of Golf in Ireland)
The CGI is a new organisation, created by the GUI, ILGU and the PGA to help advance the sport of golf on the island of Ireland.
The formation of this new organisation follows some 18 months of study and preparation by the associations together with the Irish Sports Council and Sport Northern Ireland. The CGI will complement the work of the associations as well as providing a united approach to certain key strategic areas in the future development of golf in Ireland.

Loyalty Scheme
Offset the current €1500 transfer fee with a loyalty scheme over 10 years. Similar scheme applies to 5 Day & Overseas members who are transferring to Ordinary Membership.
The scheme will work as follows:
For each year of membership in the categories of junior, student, intermediate and senior intermediate an annual discount of €150 will be available to a maximum of 10 years
