4. New access control system
One unified system
Increased flexibility
Authentication via «ID-porten», the national system for user authentication. Already in use for applicants.

5. The National Population Register
New interface, making it easier to get names and addresses, including updates, possibly also other data.

6. Digital Contact Information Register
A new national register, in production from 2014, holds mobile phone numbers and addresses for all citizens who wants their government to have this information. This means:
Citizens do not have to update all government agencies with new contact information.
Government agencies do not have to collect digital contact information themselves.
Unregistered citizens will have to receive information from agencies by ordinary mail.

7. Results exchange
Applicants can consent to NUCAS retrieving results from higher education from universities and colleges. Which means:
Applicants do not have to supply the proper documents themselves.
Case handlers do not have to handle all the records manually.

8. Secure Digital Post Box
A new system for sending encrypted digital documents to citizens. May also include private businesses.
Not very important for us at the moment, as we already have a system for publication of digital documents and information for the applicants. Mostly means we have to double up and publish information in a new and additional channel.

Built to accommodate more application cycles (Master programmes?)
Easier for applicants to find and see registered information
Documentation upload

10. So far so good, but …
we still do not have a new system environment to test and deploy what has been developed so far.
we still do not know whether UiO, responsible for system management, will allow all the components we are using.
it will take some years before all applications have been rewritten so that they can be deployed, connected to and accessed within the new system. In the mean time we will have to do with two (-three) systems, hopefully working together gracefully.
