TWG2 initiated a survey of AASHTO members in an effort to help TWGs focus their efforts.

7. Spectrum Management FCC Proposed Rule on 5.9 GHz Spectrum Sharing
FCC requested comments on options for sharing the 5.9 GHz spectrum, currently set aside for Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) Connected Vehicle (CV) operations.
SCOWCT and STSMO prepared and submitted comments to FCC (Lead authors Peter Moncure and Larry Head)
Highlighted technical challenges related to sharing. Any sharing option must not compromise safety & mobility advances offered by DSRC for CV applications.
